This arrest has raised many questions about the legitimacy of the Chinese legal system and whether or not Son Jun-Ho was given a fair trial. It also raises questions about the potential involvement of South Korea in this case.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has yet to comment on the case and it is unclear what will happen next for Son Jun-Ho.
